Video Summary

The Zeekr 001 has an exterior design similar to Lynk & Co models with aurora borealis daytime running lights. It was originally planned as a Lynk & Co model but became a separate premium brand. It has a shooting brake body style, similar to a Porsche Panamera, which is a blend of a station wagon and a coupe. It has frameless windows accessible with NFC key card. The test vehicle has 21-inch rims with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires; the all-wheel-drive model has 22-inch rims.
It has 272 horsepower and 343 Newton meters of torque from a 100-kilowatt-hour battery and a rear-mounted electric motor. Zeekr claims a 620-kilometer range, but real-world testing in Metro Manila yielded 538 kilometers.
It charges via a Type 2 AC port or a CCS2 DC port, with a maximum 22-kilowatt AC and 200-kilowatt DC charging capability.
The car is equipped with safety cameras. It has 500+ liters of boot space, expandable to 2,144 liters by removing the parcel cover and folding the rear seats. There is an additional small storage area under the front hood.
The interior features leather and suede, with rose gold accents, and it’s super quiet.
It features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster with a heads-up display, and a 15.4-inch central infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Power-adjustable front seats are available and massage functions with the all-wheel drive model. The cup holders in the center console are small. Rear seat passengers can control reclining functions and have dedicated air vents on the B pillars and USB-C charging port.
The tested rear wheel drive Zeekr 001 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and the car handles well.
At 3,625,000 pesos, with an available 400,000 pesos discount it is great value for money.
It is the second best car the reviewer has ever driven and the best available in the Philippines, the former title goes to Toyota Century.
