Video Summary

The Xiaomi YU7 is the company's first SUV that aims to compete with the Tesla Model Y. The car has a drag coefficient of 0.245, it has a very good body control in corners and better steering than other Chinese electric SUVs. The standard rear-wheel drive version has a single rear motor with 235 kW. The high-end dual-motor Pro version makes 508 kW.

All versions have an 800-volt charging architecture. LFP battery versions charge from 10 to 80% in 21 minutes, and the NMC versions charge in 12 minutes.  The standard rear-wheel drive has a CLTC range of 835 kilometers, while the dual-motor pro model gets 760 kilometers. The car has a hyper vision heads-up display (HUD).

For a higher level of customization and increased smart technology, in interior you can can use various accessories that attached with magnets.

A one-button 'privacy mode' turns off all sensing units, including LIDAR and exterior and interior cameras.
The 5.2-liter storage drawer, placed below the right passenger seat, comes heated and cooled.

Driving the YU7 is like driving a lifted SU7. Its handling is similar to other models from the brand but with a sense of lightness and agility that other Chinese electric vehicles cannot achieve.

The biggest con with Xiaomi YU7 is that Xiaomi is copying some parts of their design and this is bad for brand and for Chinese auto market in general.
