Overview
Jeep's first-ever global EV has landed, and it's a statement piece. The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition storms into the premium electric SUV scene, blending legendary brand heritage with shocking performance. Positioned as a direct rival to premium EVs, this initial model starts at $71,995, including destination fees. It’s not your traditional rock-crawler; it's a sleek, luxurious, and ferociously quick machine, packing 600 horsepower and an arsenal of high-end tech. This all-wheel-drive SUV aims to prove that Jeep can dominate the tarmac as well as the trails.
What's New for 2025?
The Wagoneer S isn't just an update; it's a revolution for the brand. As an entirely new model for 2025, it represents Jeep's bold leap into the performance EV space. Built on the advanced STLA Large platform, it's engineered from the ground up as an electric-only vehicle. Everything is new, from its slippery, aerodynamic design to its tech-drenched cabin and silent, dual-motor powertrain. The Launch Edition serves as the vanguard, showcasing the absolute best of Jeep's new electric direction, setting a high-tech, high-performance benchmark for the company's future.
Design & Exterior
This is a Jeep, but not as you know it. The exterior is sleek and seriously aerodynamic, headlined by a stunning, reimagined seven-slot grille that's fully illuminated. The Launch Edition doubles down on style with standard 20-inch Gloss Black wheels and a host of dark accents for a properly mean stance. Flush door handles and a sloping roofline enhance its modern look. It’s a substantial vehicle, measuring 192.4 inches long, 74.8 inches wide, and 64.8 inches tall, giving it massive road presence that's more grand tourer than rugged off-roader.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Step inside, and you're greeted by a wall of screens. The Wagoneer S boasts over 45 inches of total display area, including a dedicated 10.25-inch screen for the front passenger. The Launch Edition comes fully loaded with a thunderous 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and heated and ventilated seats for both front and rear passengers. It’s a true five-seater with a useful 30.6 cubic feet of trunk space, which expands to a generous 64 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded. There's even a 3 cubic-foot frunk.
Performance & Driving Experience
Hold on tight, because this thing rips. The Wagoneer S Launch Edition unleashes a staggering 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque, catapulting it from 0-60 mph in a blistering 3.4 seconds. Power comes from two Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors driving all four wheels for incredible grip. While it's built for speed, it still features Jeep’s Selec-Terrain system with Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand modes, giving it a dose of all-weather adaptability. Expect a surprisingly smooth, quiet, and dynamically capable ride that feels more sports sedan than traditional SUV.
Range, Battery & Charging
The Wagoneer S is powered by a substantial 93.9 kWh usable battery pack. According to Green Cars Compare's calculations, this delivers a real-world range estimate of around 285 miles, with an efficiency of 3.04 mi/kWh. At home on an AC charger, the standard 11 kW unit can handle a full charge overnight. On a road trip, its 400V architecture allows it to pull up to 200 kW at a DC fast charger, zapping the battery from 20-80% in a claimed 23 minutes. It uses a standard CCS Type 1 port for now.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Jeep has thrown the kitchen sink at the Wagoneer S. While official NHTSA ratings are pending for this new model, the Launch Edition comes standard with a massive suite of over 170 safety features. This includes Active Driving Assist, a Level 2 system for hands-on assisted driving on the highway. A 360-degree surround-view camera, Drowsy Driver Detection, traffic sign recognition, and Intersection Collision Assist are also standard. It's packed with advanced tech designed to protect its occupants, making it one of the brand's most sophisticated vehicles ever.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
Peace of mind comes standard. Jeep covers the Wagoneer S with its 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Critically for an EV, the high-voltage battery and electric drive components are protected for 8 years or 100,000 miles. Launch Edition owners are also enrolled in the Jeep Elite customer care program, which includes dedicated 24/7 support and other owner benefits. However, unlike some rivals, routine complimentary maintenance is not typically included in the standard purchase price from Jeep.
