For 2025, everything about the Ioniq 9 is brand new – it’s a fresh face in the electric car world! Launching as Hyundai's flagship model, it packages all the learnings from the brilliant Ioniq 5 and 6 into a massive seven-seat package. It introduces the brand’s next-generation 'ccNC' infotainment system and an even more advanced suite of driver aids. Think of it as the culmination of Hyundai's electric ambitions, setting a new benchmark for the brand in terms of technology, space, and sustainable luxury for the European market.

Design & Exterior

The Ioniq 9 makes a bold statement with its futuristic, yet purposefully boxy design that screams road presence. Echoing the stunning SEVEN concept, it features the brand's signature Parametric Pixel lights front and rear, giving it a unique identity, especially at night. It’s a seriously large machine, measuring 5060 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1790 mm in height. This Long Range RWD version will likely sport aero-optimised wheels designed to slice through the air efficiently, helping it achieve its impressive range figures while looking sharp.

Step inside the Ioniq 9 and you’re greeted by a vast, lounge-like cabin. Thanks to its long wheelbase, this seven-seater offers proper comfort for the whole family. The interior is a tech-fest, dominated by a sweeping panoramic display housing the digital dials and central touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The 800V architecture is the real party trick, allowing for blistering DC charging speeds of up to 350 kW at a compatible station via its CCS Type 2 port. That means a 10-80% top-up in as little as 20 minutes! For home charging, the standard 11 kW on-board AC charger is plenty quick. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality is also included.
