Overview
Get ready for Jeep's electrifying new chapter: the Wagoneer S! This is the brand's first global all-electric vehicle, and it’s kicking things off with this stunning Launch Edition. Positioned as a premium performance SUV, it's aimed squarely at high-end rivals. It combines legendary Jeep spirit with blistering EV pace and a seriously luxurious cabin. While launching first in North America, a European debut is eagerly anticipated. Expect pricing to reflect its top-tier status, likely starting around the €70,000-€75,000 mark when it crosses the pond, ready to shake up the electric SUV scene.
What's New for 2025?
Everything! The 2025 Wagoneer S is an all-new model and a massive leap forward for the American brand. It’s built on the cutting-edge STLA-Large platform, a dedicated EV architecture designed for exceptional performance and efficiency. This Launch Edition is the definitive statement piece, arriving fully loaded with every premium feature from the get-go. It completely redefines the Wagoneer nameplate for the electric era, swapping V8 muscle for silent, instantaneous torque and setting a new, incredibly high benchmark for all future electric Jeeps to follow.
Design & Exterior
This isn't your traditional, boxy Jeep. The Wagoneer S boasts a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette designed to slice through the air, evident in its sloping roofline and integrated rear spoiler. The iconic seven-slot grille is cleverly reinterpreted as a stunning illuminated signature piece, giving it an unmistakable presence, day or night. It measures an imposing 4,888 mm long and 1,900 mm wide. The Launch Edition completes its aggressive, modern stance with exclusive 20-inch gloss black wheels and stealthy dark accenting all around. It looks fast even when standing still.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Step inside a tech-lover's paradise. The cabin is dominated by over 45 inches of gorgeous screen real estate, including a dedicated display for the front passenger. The Launch Edition pampers you with a standard 19-speaker McIntosh reference audio system that sounds absolutely epic. Passenger space is generous, and the interior uses premium, sustainable materials throughout. It’s seriously practical, too, with a huge 866-litre boot that expands to 1,812 litres with the rear seats folded. Plus, you get a handy 85-litre frunk up front for stashing charging cables.
Performance & Driving Experience
This is the quickest Jeep ever made, full stop. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system delivers a staggering 447.5 kW and 836 Nm of torque, catapulting this SUV from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 3.6 seconds. The dual Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors provide instant, seamless power up to a top speed of 200 km/h. But it's not just a straight-line missile; the standard Selec-Terrain system with Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand modes means it adapts to any road or condition, blending thrilling dynamics with all-weather confidence.
Range, Battery & Charging
Range anxiety is a thing of the past. The Wagoneer S packs a 93.9 kWh usable battery pack, delivering an estimated real-world range of 459 km, as calculated by Green Cars Compare, with an impressive efficiency of 4.89 km/kWh. When it’s time to juice up, its 400V architecture and CCS Type 2 port allow for a max DC charging speed of 200 kW, taking you from 20-80% in around 23 minutes. For overnight top-ups at home, the standard 11 kW on-board AC charger has you covered.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Jeep has packed the Wagoneer S Launch Edition with a fortress of safety tech. While it awaits its official Euro NCAP safety rating, it comes loaded with a comprehensive suite of standard driver aids. This includes Level 2 Active Driving Assist for semi-autonomous cruising on the motorway, a crystal-clear 360-degree surround-view camera system, Drowsy Driver Detection, and Traffic Sign Recognition. It’s a performance SUV designed with family protection firmly in mind, making every journey feel secure.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
Owners can expect a comprehensive warranty package that meets European standards. This will almost certainly include a basic vehicle warranty for at least two years with unlimited kilometres, and the crucial battery warranty for 8 years or 160,000 km, guaranteeing protection against significant capacity loss. As a pure EV, maintenance is a breeze compared to a petrol car. Forget oil changes; routine servicing will focus on essentials like tyres, brakes, and cabin filters, ensuring lower running costs and more time enjoying the drive.
