Overview
The 2023 Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV 80 is a seriously stylish all-electric coupe-SUV that blends Czech practicality with a head-turning design. This rear-wheel-drive variant, equipped with the larger battery, aimed to be a compelling mix of range, space, and premium feel within the competitive EV market. Though now discontinued, you can snag one on the used market in Europe for around €40,290. Its swooping roofline and generous kit make it a standout choice for families wanting to go electric without sacrificing flair. It really offers a lot of EV for your dosh!
What's New for 2023?
For its final 2023 model year, the Enyaq Coupe iV 80 benefited from Skoda's ongoing software enhancements, primarily the updated ME3 software. This brought improvements to battery thermal management, potentially boosting real-world range consistency and DC charging speeds. The infotainment system also saw tweaks for better usability and responsiveness. While no massive trim-specific hardware changes were introduced, these software updates ensured the Enyaq Coupe remained competitive, polishing an already impressive package before its production concluded in 2023. So, it was more evolution than revolution, but welcome nonetheless!
Design & Exterior
Phwoar, that sloping roofline! The Enyaq Coupe iV 80 is a proper looker, turning Skoda’s practical SUV into a sleek, aerodynamic machine. The iV 80 trim often came with attractive alloy wheels and that massive panoramic glass roof as standard, flooding the cabin with light. Up front, you get Skoda's distinctive grille (sometimes illuminated – Crystal Face was an option!) and sharp LED headlights. Dimensions are generous at 4653 mm long, 1879 mm wide, and 1617 mm tall, giving it real road presence. It’s less boxy than its sibling, and all the better for it!
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Step inside the Enyaq Coupe iV 80 and you’re greeted by a cabin that feels surprisingly premium, with various "Design Selections" offering different materials and vibes. There's ample space for five, despite the coupe roofline. Tech-wise, a big 13-inch central touchscreen is your command centre, usually paired with a smaller digital driver’s display, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Cargo is impressive: 575 litres in the boot, expanding to a massive 1700 litres with seats down. No frunk, sadly, but the boot is plenty practical for most adventures!
Performance & Driving Experience
The Enyaq Coupe iV 80, with its single rear-mounted 150 kW (310 Nm) Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, offers brisk and smooth acceleration, hitting 0-100 km/h in a respectable 8.7 seconds. Being rear-wheel drive, it feels nicely balanced and engaging for a family SUV, prioritizing comfort but still handling corners with composure. The ride is generally plush, soaking up bumps well, and regenerative braking is easily adjustable, allowing for some one-pedal driving feel in "B" mode. It’s a serene cruiser that’s surprisingly fun when you want it to be.
Range, Battery & Charging
Powering the iV 80 is a 77 kWh (usable) battery, delivering a Green Cars Compare estimated real-world range of 478 km – pretty handy for longer journeys! Efficiency is rated at a decent 6.21 km/kWh. For charging, it features a CCS Type 2 port. At home on an 11 kW AC wallbox, a full charge takes around 7-8 hours. Hook it up to a DC fast charger, and it can guzzle electrons at up to 143 kW, meaning a 10-80% top-up can be done in about 35 minutes. No Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) here, though.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Safety is top-notch, with the Skoda Enyaq range scoring a full 5 stars from Euro NCAP. The iV 80 comes packed with standard assistance systems like Front Assist with emergency braking and Lane Assist. Many desirable features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Travel Assist (for semi-autonomous driving), blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system were often available as part of optional packages. So, while the basics are covered, you might need to hunt for a well-specced used model for all the bells and whistles.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
In Europe, the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV 80 typically came with a 2-year, unlimited-kilometre basic vehicle warranty, which is pretty standard. More importantly for an EV, the high-voltage battery is covered for 8 years or 160,000 km, guaranteeing at least 70% of its original capacity. Skoda doesn’t usually offer complimentary maintenance in Europe, so servicing costs will be out-of-pocket, but EVs generally require less maintenance than petrol or diesel cars. The MEB platform underpinning it has proven fairly reliable so far.
