Video Summary

Three different charging methods are available: Normal, Trickle, and Quick Charge (if equipped). Normal charging takes approximately 7 hours, typically using a home charger. Trickle charging takes about 21 hours for a full charge, utilizing the included EVSE cable and connecting to a standard 110-120V outlet. Quick charging can charge the battery to approximately 80% in about 30 minutes at a charging station, or 90% if the charge setting is set to maximize driving range (100% is the default). Charging will not initiate while the vehicle is turned on, but will continue if the car is started during charging. Charging status indicator lights on the dashboard provide visual feedback on the battery's charge level and can be seen from inside and outside the vehicle. Remote charging and checking battery status are possible using an internet-connected computer or compatible smartphone, requiring a CARWINGS subscription. The battery's capacity naturally decreases with age and usage. To maximize battery life, it's recommended to avoid leaving the vehicle at a near-zero charge, cool the battery before charging, park in cool locations, minimize frequent use of quick charging, allow the battery to drop below 80% before quick charging, drive moderately, and use ECO mode. Charging timers can be set for scheduled charging. If the battery is completely discharged, the electric vehicle system may not activate, even with a jump start.
