Video Summary

The KIA EV3 is a compact electric SUV offered in four trims: Air standard, Air long range, Earth long range, and GT Line long range. The entry-level model price starts from $47,600 plus on-road costs. The top-end model GT Line long range starts from $63,950 plus on-road costs. It has a claimed driving range under European WLTP testing is rated at 436 km in the air standard range, 604 km in the air long range, and 563 km in the earth and GT Line.

The EV3 Air includes LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, cloth seats, and advanced safety features. The EV3 Air standard range has a slightly longer driving range than a BYD Atto 3 premium, but it is not as well equipped. The Earth grade adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, leather-look trim, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The GT-Line has unique styling, head-up display, Harman Kardon stereo, and sunroof.

The EV3 interior has similar tech to other new KIA electric cars, including 12.3-inch screen and 5-inch display for the climate controls. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system has over-the-air updates and KIA Connect support. A 12.3-inch driver display is easy to use but lacks customization. Recycled, sustainable materials are used through the cabin, including fabrics on the dashboard and doors. It is also equipped with leather-look seats.

The rear seat is not the roomiest, but the flat floor has good knee room. However, toe room is a little limited. Other features include USB ports, air vents, and storage in the doors, and a fold-down center armrest with cup holders.  The EV3's boot is quite big for the size and easy to use.  All have a power tailgate and can be charged in approximately 29-31 minutes, respectively, and have 25-liter storage.

It is powered by a 150-kilowatt/283-Newton meter electric motor on the front axle.   It reaches 0-100 km/h from 7.5 to 7.9 seconds. Power tapers off on higher speeds. Ride and handling is overall pretty good but the 19-inch wheels offer a slightly firmer ride. It also comes with features like Adaptive cruise control and lane changing but the speed sign recognition system can be annoying. The electric powertrain keeps the noise down during driving.
