BYD Seal interior review

Video Summary

The car has a nice and large frunk that is very practical for storing cables. The trunk has a motorized opening but a sedan-style opening, which is not that big and may be challenging for larger items. The trunk includes a subwoofer on the right side and interior material covering the bare metal. A storage pocket on the trunk's left side is not very big. A storage section under the trunk frees up more space and includes a tire inflator and reflective triangle. A medium-sized stroller could barely fit into the trunk. The rear seats have Isofix with lids that slide in, a feature not seen previously. A car seat installed easily into the rear Isofix latches. Legroom in the back is good, but head room is limited to about two finger widths. Front seats have Isofix points, and passenger airbags can be turned on and off. There is dual charging. Air vents are controlled electronically via the screen. The reviewer said they may not have a most premium deep door sound. There are conventional stalks, as opposed to Tesla’s lack of stalks, and the buttons are not haptic but are physical buttons that work well. There's a head-up display with large, easy-to-read letters. The reviewer concludes the BYD Seal is a nice alternative to Tesla and is mostly on par with the Model 3.
