After a rocky launch, the Charger Daytona is undergoing significant changes. Dodge is dropping the entire stage kit lineup for the Daytona EV. There won't be Stage 1 or 2; maximum power comes standard. Badges symbolizing stage levels are removed. Dodge is softening the car's software to limit horsepower access and is considering charging more for access, despite the car's potential.Tim Kuniskis stated that to go to the first level with the hardware in suspension wheels and tyres, we should give him the hardware and that we are not letting you out run your suspension your wheels and and your tires and your brakes. He added “ If you buy the car and never upgraded, did you overpay a little” maybe a little. The initial Dodge plan involved two levels above each trim, achievable via direct connection; otherwise, there is little performance difference.
RT models may be eliminated. Previous mandatory packages, like the track pack, have been unlocked to reduce the base price due to underperformance. Some see what Dodge is putting out as little as they want an 11-mile trip. After all these changes the Charger Daytona is only 14% charged for 24 minutes. Dodge knows that a name says so much, with just changing the name from a “Spack Pact”.
There's a push to simplify and return to Hemi engines. That will solve all the Charger problems. A 392 version, Dodge still had trademarks for the name “super beast”. These things give people so much to look forward to. While they were putting Iconic names on EVs nobody wanted.
