Video Summary

Here's a summary of the video review of the electric car:

The Ford Capri is the coupe SUV version of the Ford Explorer, an all electric model. The Capri name harkens back to a Ford coupe from the 70s and 80s. The Explorer and the Capri share a Volkswagen MEB platform. The Capri has a different front end than the Explorer with a specific grille and optical lights, and a different rear.  The Capri is 4.63 meters long, shorter than the Explorer’s 4.46 meters, and the same wheelbase. Front and rear signature lights are specific to the models, with a coupé style roof on the Capri. The car has a generous 567 liters of boot/trunk space.

The interior is a copy/paste, but Ford has adapted its interface. The dashboard has a 5.3-inch display, which is too small, but it also sports a 14.6 inch tablet. The commands are more reactive but remain sensitive controls that is a downside. The center console has hidden storage and 17 liters under the armrest. The rear seats are comfortable, though the middle seat is firm, with a flat floor and good leg room.

There are two launch versions, the transmission integral 340ch/hp with a 79kWh battery, which is faster than the Explorer. The 286ch/hp propulsion version has about 600km/372 miles. The Capri is an agile crossover that does not show its weight. Regen braking is an on/off setting with no paddle controls.
The prices range from €46,400 to €56,400, with the 170ch version still eligible for a €4,000 bonus/credit (subject to 2024 government rules). Deliveries start at the end of the year. The Capri offers an enjoyable, dynamic sporty feel, and is worth comparing to the Explorer.
