I Tested the Chevy Silverado EV Truck… more miles is better?

Video Summary

The Chevrolet Silverado EV RST is not a normal-looking truck, it’s reminiscent of the 2002 Cadillac EXT. This RST model has a one-piece light bar. The headlights are at the bottom, a feature that some new Teslas have. It’s 19 feet long and 7 feet wide. The Chevy Silverado EV has an active air vent and a super sexy one-piece light bar. At night the Chevy logo upstairs has love animations as you approach the vehicle.

The RST is the top of the line trim. Headlights are at the bottom. Signal lights are integrated inside. There is a side Chevy logo that lights up at night. It has super massive 24-inch wheels with nine inches of ground clearance. The "E" in Silverado is blue to indicate that it is electric. The doors are huge.

It’s equipped with regular door handles. The charge port is on the right side so that it can be used at Tesla superchargers without blocking more than one charger. Charging provides 100 miles in 10 minutes. The battery capacity will charge with 350kW of power. This isn’t a CCS but is expected to be NACS by the 2025 models.  The rear has tail lights and a step to get into the truck bed easier. This includes a tonneau cover.

The first edition only comes in white or black. As far as looks go, it’s an A-tier since it still looks like a traditional truck. The top-of-the-line RST trim features accents of red and blue for a sporty interior. The air vents are tacky and the dashboard is cheap plastic. The buttons are nice. It features super cruise. It has an approximately 14-inch heads-up display. The 11-inch screen has infotainment graphics. There is a 17.7-inch screen that shows maps and information. The panoramic glass roof is also great. There is a lot of space in the back. The air vents in the back contain heated seats, 120v outlets, and two USB-C ports.

The Midget is rated S-tier.

The seat folds down to allow for additional room, and there’s a place to store it.
The removable side panel is a nice design feature with places to store the pieces.
It’s lined with scratch-resistant material.

However, it gets a C tier tech rating as it’s not an S tier. A lot of what it needs is lacking. The interior is small and has an 11-inch dash display, and there are better looking systems with similar features.

But then the driving is a good daily driver. The different drive modes make it easier. And it hits 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds. It is also able to tow up to 10,000 lbs. and also gets 440 miles for a battery. The first edition is expensive: $96,000.
