Video Summary
The Kia EV3 sits below the EV6 and EV9 in Kia’s lineup and replaces the Soul EV.
It is a little bigger than the Soul EV and will be up against rivals like the Volvo EX30, Smart #1, and Hyundai Kona Electric.
The production-ready EV3 has lots of styling features from the concept car and looks like a shrunken EV9.
Its interior layout is similar to that of the EV9 and has the same screens.
It features a fully digital driver display and a touchscreen infotainment system.
It also features a 5.3-inch touchscreen for climate controls that can be easily blocked with the steering wheel.
Physical dials to control temperature and fan speed are still available on the dashboard.
The infotainment system will eventually have games, YouTube, and Netflix available while charging, but this is not yet available.
There is a movable tray for a laptop and a relaxation seat that reclines.
The seat materials are good quality, even though many are hard, and the overall finish is nicely done.
There is a QR code on the passenger side that takes you to information on recycled materials.
The Kia badge will be offset to the right on the steering wheel and that the EV3 will be available with two different batteries.
It has the same wheelbase as the Kia Sportage. There is good legroom in the back but less impressive headroom, but it's OK for people who aren't especially tall. There is a flat floor in the rear. The outer two rear seats offer more comfort than the middle seat.
The middle seat has a hard backrest and is not raised much compared to the other seats.
It has a massive 460-liter boot, which is bigger than an EX30 and a Smart #1, but a little less than a Kona Electric, but it has a high floor and no loading lip.
Its height-adjustable boot floor offers lots of under-floor storage.
You can also remove it to unlock more space.
The car has front wheel drive if it has one electric motor.
The EV3 GT will be four-wheel drive.
At a starting price around £32,500, the EV3 has excellent range and price.
The standard range model has an official range of 255 miles while the long-range version manages 350 miles.
The standard range charges up to 102kW while the long-range version charges up to 128kW. A 10-80% charge takes around 30 minutes.

The EV3 has a 400-volt electric architecture, while the EV6 and EV9 have 800-volt electric architecture.
The EV3 looks to have great range and price compared to many equivalent rivals. Overall, this is an impressive car to watch out for.
