NEW Skoda Elroq review – the ULTIMATE electric SUV? | What Car?

Uploaded 3 months ago by What Car?

Video Summary

The new Skoda Elroq is a fantastic electric SUV. It is great up front, very spacious in the back, and has a brilliant range. It’s also comfortable and great to drive, and thousands of pounds cheaper than loads of its rivals. This car kind of sits between two big groups of rivals. It’s slightly bigger than the Volvo EX30, the Smart #1, and the Kia EV3, but still slightly smaller than the Renault Scenic, Tesla Model Y, and the closely related Skoda Enyaq.
The Elroq has a 470 liter boot. You can fit six carry-on suitcases below the parcel shelf, which is the same number of suitcase as in an EV3. Unfortunately, there is no front boot. It has rear seats that are extremely spacious, even for those over 6ft. Legroom and headroom are brilliant. It also has plastic storage that can be removed to reveal a flat floor.
The interior is very similar to the more expensive Enyaq. On the dashboard, there’s a soft touch finish. An entry-level loft design option has a fabric covering on the dashboard with contrast stitching. The touchscreen infotainment system is well-positioned, easy to see, has nice graphics, and is configurable.
The climate controls are on the touchscreen, making them less easy to use. Wireless Apple Carplay and Wireless Android Auto come standard.
The driving position is fantastic with a good view, there is lots of seat and steering wheel adjustment, and it is difficult to block the digital driver display in front. This car drives on standard suspension. There is great absorption of impacts on the suspension. It is also very smooth and nicely weighted when steering. The accelerator and brake tuning is impressive. There is also an incredibly tight turning circle, which is tighter than a Skoda Citigo.
As for which trim is best, it’s the edition.
