The Mercedes-AMG EQE offers a performance-oriented drive concept with two electric motors, one on each axle, plus fully variable all-wheel drive. The power spectrum ranges from 476 horsepower in the EQE 43 4MATIC to 687 horsepower in the EQE 53 4MATIC+ with optional AMG Dynamic Plus package and boost function. The maximum torque ranges from 858 to 1,000 Newton-meters.Inside, AMG upgrades include sport seats, a new steering wheel with a flat bottom, and dark surfaces with contrasting red trim. The cabin spanning hyperscreen is still an option. The MBUX system includes AMG specific functions and sounds, designed to evoke driving excitement.
A special set of artificial sounds, called the AMG Sound Experience, change depending on the driving mode selected, and there is a dedicated sound when using the race start mode. At the time of the video no pricing or availability had been announced, but the car is supposed to go on sale in the US and other markets.
