2023 MG ZS EV Review | So much better than...

Uploaded 2 years ago by Electric Chris [Chris Vanderstock]

Video Summary

Exterior:

The front grill has the biggest change from the previous model.

Side profile and back are much the same.

The front charging port has an improved easy-to-access design.

MG logo is a flap on the front.

360-degree views are available around the car.

This model lacks front sensors, relying on the front camera (which is terrible quality).

Getting rid of the old rubber grommets is a good change.

Interior:

LED headlights are an upgrade.

Side profile is almost identical to the previous model.

Entry-level models don’t have roof racks, folding mirrors, or a moon roof with a retractable shade.

The back is essentially the same, including the rear wiper and 7-year warranty.

The rear door is manual.

Technical Specs:

Boot space: 359 liters with seats up or 1,187 liters with seats down.

There is no front trunk.

Rear has USB-A and USB-C, as does the front.

Seven-inch digital cluster.

Range: 320 km with 17.1 kWh / 100km efficiency.

Driving:

There are sport, normal, and eco drive modes.

The handling has been improved, resulting in a smoother, less bouncy ride.

Cabin noise is generally good, especially at a standstill.

There is Auto Hold, but it won't bring it to a complete stop.

There is lane keep assist and radar cruise control but no rear cross-traffic alert.

Regen braking is possible but requires the manual kurb button.

Final thoughts:

It is a family-oriented car, priced competitively.

The screen is crisp and clear, just a little laggy.

Good for commuting and running errands.
