Video Summary
The 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron is Audi's newest entry in the mid-size SUV class and the first Audi featuring the newest generation of its electric vehicle platform.
The headlights have a multi-LED digital light signature with welcome animations and a customizable light signature adjustable on the dashboard.
There are 61 individual LED segments per pod; owners can download and swap between 11 themes via the dashboard interface. The actual headlights are tucked below the signature lights.
The signature single-frame grill has closed panels for aerodynamics, preserving the visual signature of combustion cars.
A strong shoulder is built into the vehicle's design to give a sporty look.
The digital OLED technology allows animations to use an algorithm to adjust panels and retain overall illumination.
The US will not get these animations but will get 11 customizable static patterns to complement the front lights. The rear lights will reshape into hazard triangles when the emergency braking system is triggered to warn others.
A rear-wheel drive will eventually be offered, but dual electric motor quattro is standard at launch.
The asynchronous e-motor on the front axle is on-demand and can be deactivated when not needed. The rear motor offers better torque and performance. These motors are designed to share many components and rotor and stator diameters.
The Q6 e-tron quattro will have 315 kW, which can boost to 350 kW for short bursts. The SQ6 upgrades to 360 kW with 380 kW for short bursts, which allows launching to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
Both versions use a 100 kWh battery with an estimated range of over 300 miles. The battery splits into two 400V banks that charge natively in parallel at 400V.
The car features dual charging ports, one on each rear fender. The car will not adopt Tesla’s NACS port at launch.
The interior features three screens built on the E3 electronics platform. They include a 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster bonded with a curved OLED display to a 14.5-inch main screen.
A 10.9-inch display for the passenger allows them to co-pilot or watch videos.
There is a large augmented reality head-up display for navigation, driver-aid features, and infotainment.
