The secret superpower of the Tesla Y is the charging network. Teslas all feature better-than-average 1-pedal driving and regenerative braking. It handles and has a comfortable ride. The seat and head room are great in both rows. This model is a good all around EV, but that competition is quickly catching up. Other EVs that feature similar automatic steering around traffic are more hands on, however, to keep drivers fully attentive, so this is potentially a safety issue for Tesla.
Despite its improvements, the 2026 Model Y may not be as transformational a car as previously seen. Tesla is taking a big risk with tech and its automated driving program. They put emphasis on the fact that it is vision-based and runs with artificial intelligence and also wants people to utilize their systems.
