Collecting my 2024 Ford Transit Custom Van. Is it worth the £50,000 price tag, after a 7 month wait?

Video Summary

The Ford Transit Custom Limited 320L2 185PS Auto is reviewed. It has been a pleasant experience to drive; after 55,000 miles. The automatic transmission makes it lazy driving and it’s very nice. The interior spec means it comes with heated seats, air conditioning, cruise control, speed limiter, and a good onboard sat nav which the reviewer still prefers to use Waze through Apple CarPlay. The van can hold a 3m long material through the cubby hole into the back and can weigh 3.2 tons total. The new van feels bigger than the previous model and widthwise, you can fit an 8x4 sheeting or 1200 x 2.4m which is over 1.3m. Lengthwise, up to the bulkhead you can fit between 2.7 and 2.9 meters. It also comes standard with LED lights to light the back. The style is completely different from the previous model, calling it a “brand new beast.” A new rear light cluster is incorporated. The hinges are beafier and fold back on themselves 180 degrees. An electric push button opens the back doors. On the inside, rather than a manual gear stick, the gear selector is on the stalk. The reviewer finds it disappointing that the electric handbrake does not disengage upon acceleration but must be done manually.
At a price tag of nearly $50,000 with tax, the reviewer poses the question as to whether vehicles of this class are worth the price but is overall excited about this new Ford Transit Custom.
