Video Summary

Tesla has hinted at launching three new electric vehicles in 2025, including a new Tesla van, the long-awaited Roadster, and Model 2. The vehicles aim to use both next-generation and current platforms. One vehicle is a tall, boxy truck, with the other two covered vehicles lower and sleeker.

Tesla plans to unveil the long-hyped RoboTaxi on August 8th. One of the secret models could be the RoboTaxi.

The electric automaker stated it is accelerating the launch of new models, including more affordable ones.

They'll arrive by late 2024 or early 2025. Tesla's vehicle sales dropped by 8.5% in the first quarter of this year, so they will need new models to sustain growth.

Musk is delaying introducing a cheaper model that could drive higher sales and has focused on launching the Cybertruck, an inexpensive, highly stylized pickup truck. Musk himself stated that it won't impact the company's profits this year.

Musk believes that Tesla’s RoboTaxi business could one day be worth $30 trillion. Musk states that his next car will use cold air thrusters to fly short distances and will have a zero to sixty acceleration time at 1.1 seconds. Tesla is trying to develop its own software with ambitions to emerge as a global AI frontrunner.

Tesla wants to reduce the Robotaxi drivetrain cost to under $1,000 and eliminate rare earth metals. The company is planning a new "unboxed" manufacturing process, which will divide the car into four parts that can be built simultaneously for faster, cheaper production.

Analysts warn that Tesla's product lineup is aging, and that the Model 3 Sedan and Model Y crossover cannot sustain the company's growth indefinitely. Tesla plans to launch a new model that will appeal to new consumers, and help them compete with competition such as Hyundai and China’s BYD. The next vehicle is said to be a compact truck, perhaps the much-anticipated Cybertruck and Model 2.
