Is the priciest Skoda yet a genuine fun machine? (Skoda Enyaq Coupe RS 2025 Review)

Video Summary

The Skoda Enyaq RS is the most powerful Skoda sold in Australia. As for interior quality, Skoda has elevated it beyond even some of its stablemates.
The base rear-wheel-drive Sportline is not the cheapest, but also not in the luxury car class. Adding the Ultimate package to the Sportline is recommended, because it gives adaptive dampers, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and premium Canton audio.
The RS version has the Ultimate package included. RS versions have nice leather seats that are heated with electric adjustment, memory, and massage features.
Interior also features a perforated leather steering wheel with real physical controls. Dashboard features leather stitching or faux leather.
It also has a 13-inch touchscreen with an infotainment system, that is new for 2025. It has a climate bar and there is a climate shortcut for tasks like changing the fan speed. For Australia, the infotainment lacks internet connectivity; the VW group is struggling to work on this. Includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a navigation system is also not integrated in this car. It has a smaller screen for the driver that displays speed, trip information, and next navigation direction.
In the doors you can find an umbrella.
Doors sound high quality when closed. The door grab is in cheap hard plastic, but the space in the back of the Enyaq is good. Includes air vents, heated outboard seats, and a flip down arm rest with 2 cup holders and the skis pass. There are sun blinds for the window.
From the rear three quarters perspective, it is not the best-looking car. The chunky look is due to the VW MEB platform. There is Black Skoda lettering on the back, and an RS badge on the sides. There is a power tailgate standard. Boot space is 570 L.
It's easy to put stuff in the boot due to its low step over height. Charging cables included.
Also, you get the normal Skoda niceties where you can hold smaller items. There are hooks as well, with a cargo blind for protection.
It does not have a spare wheel. It has a Type 2 CCS port for fast charging.
The car does not have that shove-you-in-the-face feel but it does feel very polished. The new, bespoke VW group rear electric motor is responsive and the overall balance of control compliance is pretty good and probably even better than in previous Skoda RS models. All safety systems also works pretty well. The tested all wheel drive RS version used 17.8 kWh/100 km and has a real world range of 432 km.
A long 7-year unlimited km warranty is included for the vehicle and 8-year/160,000 km for the high voltage battery and the components.
