The biggest difference: ES90 wheel base is 3.1 meters, 16cm more. Its weigh also grows to 2400-2600 kg. Towing is 1600/2000 kg.
Battery and Charging:
The ES90 offers two battery options. The smaller 92 kWh nominal, usable 88 kWh with a peak charging 300 kW, offering 650 km range.
It is paired with single motor RWD. Peak charging rate for the larger 106 kWh is 350 kW. With WTLP its range is 700 km.
Volvo expects charge from 10% to 80% in just 20 min, class-leading.

EX90 models are estimated to be 130,000 NOK more. An all wheel, Twin motor model (Ultra) is estimated at 845,900 NOK. Twin Motor Perf. Ultra is 919,900 NOK. As reference points, Twin Motor models in Germany are 102,000 Euro, and in the UK, 96,000 GBP. US prices are EX90 is 84,000, and the ES90 is 72,000 (very unsure import tax).
Ordering is available in 2024, with all wheel twin motor models arriving spring 2026. Overall the ES90 is a huge thumbs up.
