Video Summary

The Porsche Taycan has been significantly updated.

The new versions have more power, greater range, quicker acceleration, and faster charging.

The design has been sharpened and features greater visual differentiation.

The sedan and Cross Turismo are still available.

Upgraded versions are scheduled to arrive in the US showrooms this summer.

The updated Taycan Turbo S sedan can accelerate from zero to sixty in just 2.3 seconds, making it the quickest production Porsche.

The Turbo S has an increased power output of up to 938 horsepower, making it the most powerful production Porsche.

The basic Taycan sedan has rear-wheel drive only, and goes from zero to sixty in 4.5 seconds, about half a second quicker than before.

The basic Taycan is rear-wheel drive only because it has one electric motor on the rear axle.

The Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S all have two electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear, making them all-wheel drive.

All Taycans have a "push-to-pass" function, a boost of up to 70 kilowatts for 10 seconds at the touch of a button, which increases acceleration.

This provides about 60 kilowatts more power in the base Taycan, and an additional 140 kilowatts when using launch control in the Turbo S.

The upgraded Taycan can recharge even faster, up to 300 kilowatts at 800-volt DC charging stations, which is 50 kilowatts more than before.

A 150-kilowatt DC-to-DC converter is now standard, optimizing charging speed on 400-volt networks.

It now takes 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%, compared to previous Taycans.

The new active chassis enhancement offers adaptive air suspension is now standard across all models.

All-wheel drive models can add Porsche Active Ride Suspension, increasing the range of comfort to dynamic driving.

This suspension keeps the car flat under all conditions.

There is new front and rear-end styling, with new headlights and taillights and flatter headlights.

Many new Porsche products are adopting the new, wider front end, such as the Macan EV and the Cayenne.

Turbo models get a monochromatic crest.

Test-driving the backseat revealed it’s kind of hard to get in at six foot three, but otherwise the cars interior is a very comfortable place.

The price: the 2025 Taycan starts at $99,400. The 2025 Taycan Turbo S starts at $209,000. The 2025 Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo starts at $211,700.
