The new MG5 has a restyled front end, a different rear bumper, two new color options, and two new alloy wheel designs; now, the top trims have 17-inch alloys. It still has the same battery and electric motor as before, with a usable battery capacity of 57-kilowatt hours and a 154-brake horsepower electric motor; electric range is around 250 miles.
The car is reasonably quick, but care must be taken with traction.
The base SE Long Range costs £30,995, a price increase that reflects the added upgrades and the discontinued UK government plug-in grant.
