NEW Polestar 4 walkaround – FULL details on radical electric SUV | What Car?

Video Summary
The Polestar 4 is a fully electric SUV with no rear window; instead, the rearview mirror is an HD screen displaying a live camera feed from a roof-mounted camera.
Polestar says the camera feed allows a wider view out the back of the car. The brightness and angle are adjustable, and the camera can be deactivated to use a traditional mirror.
Owned by Volvo, Polestar has positioned the 4 between the 2 and the 3 in both size and price.
The vehicle isn't just a coupe version of the 3; it is built on a completely different platform.
It's a big SUV, about the size of a Tesla Model Y, Jaguar I-Pace, and Porsche Macan.
Inside is a high center console to enclose the driver, and a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system in landscape orientation.
The infotainment system features an Android-derived Google Maps and Google Assistant voice control.
A physical dial on the center console controls volume, pause, and play, but isn't more functionally robust.
Climate controls are touchscreen only; a physical control might have been better.
There is a driver monitor system, 10.2-inch digital driver display, and, as standard in the UK, a head-up display that has a "snow mode" to change the text from white to yellow.
The interior is high quality, put together well, and very classy, with two different color options.
The center console has a handy tray for wireless phone charging, and cup holders and the armrest offers storage, too. Additional storage is underneath the floating console.
There are rear seats with plenty of space; no rear window allows a more optimal seat design and head room, but tall passengers may touch the roof. A rear touchscreen controls climate and media functions. The rear is a five-seater.
The trunk has a big hatchback opening, a 526-liter capacity, a 31-liter under-floor compartment, and a height-adjustable floor,
Alloys range from 20-22 inches, and depending on the wheel's specification, they have either Pirelli or Michelin tires.
Available as either a long-range single-motor version or a long-range dual-motor version.
For the Dual motor the claimed range is 360 miles with that version's range driving mode which can disengage the front electric motor to aid efficiency.
The dual-motor has 536 horsepower and a claimed 0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds, making it the fastest car that Polestar has developed.
The starting price for the Polestar 4 is similar to a high-spec Tesla Model Y, at £59,990. The Dual motor model starts at £66,990 undercutting the price of its new I-pace rival.
All models include a heat pump and vehicle-to-load functionality. The vehicle to load will be available for the launch date later this year.
While Polestar has been careful to confirm that different options will not be available it expects this will be its most popular vehicle.
