Video Summary

The Peugeot e-5008 is an electric 7-seater with a 73kWh battery pack. The WLTP range is 311 miles. The electric version’s price starts at around £49,000, up to £52,500 for the GT model. It is similarly sized to the Skoda Kodiaq and the Tesla Model Y. It has storage under the boot floor that’s accessible even with the seven seats up. It has a very big boot, and a practical load lip. The access to the back seats is easy because the outer seats slide and tilt with one hand. A negative aspect of the car is that it lacks air conditioning in the boot. There are only two sets of ISOFIX in the middle seats. The middle seats slide in a 60/40 split and recline. Middle-row passengers get A/C controls and vents.

The dash and exterior styling are taken from the e-3008. There is a comfortable cabin and the vehicle features wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on a curved touchscreen. It has a smaller steering wheel and high set driver’s read out, but the car feels nice and smart. It's not the most fun to drive, and takes 9.7 seconds to get to 62mph. It weighs 2.2 tons. There is decent enough ride, but roughness does vibrate up through the road surface. The e-5008 tows up to a ton.

Rapid charging gets you up to 62 miles in 10 minutes in optimal conditions, or in 30 minutes for a 10 to 80 percent charge. Peugeot really thought about this car, which has a lot going for it. It makes a lot more sense than the 3008. It's seen as the best electric 7-seater currently.
