Video Summary

The Polestar 4 is available in New Zealand.

Two flavors are available: Long Range Single Motor and Long Range Dual Motor.

Long Range Single Motor: $119,990 and 610km Range.

Long Range Dual Motor: $129,990 and 580km Range.

What it lacks in range, the Dual Motor makes up for with improved acceleration.

The car doesn't so much accelerate as it teleports.

It wears its 100kWh battery well.

Road noise is diminished with the larger battery pack beneath, creating a quieter ride.

The seats are bigger than the reviewer's torso and have room to move around.

There is easier access to the seat.

The seats are heated and ventilated, plus the rear seats are also reclinable.

Back seats are heated, not ventilated.

Lots of room in the back.

Large screen is 15-inch and is running off Android Automotive OS, very logically laid out.

The vehicle is able to connect to Google Play.

There is additional storage under the boot.

A "fartment" in the front is also included.

The total score for potato storage capacity is low.

No real window.

A display is in place instead of a rearview mirror, takes a little getting used to and has a parallax effect.

20-inch wheels standard, but you can upgrade those to 21 inches.

If you like to bargain, all New Zealand Polestar 4s come with a plus pack and pilot pack.

A Pro Pack adds gold-stripe seatbelts, active dampening, and ventilated Brembo brakes.

The car weighs over 2.3 tons.

The ride is smooth.

It has no rear window.

Good handling and cornering.

It can tow up to 2000 kg.
