Video Summary

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lobo has standard V8 power with an upgraded suspension and aggressive styling. The Lobo comes with a five-liter naturally aspirated double overhead cam V8, the same engine found in the Mustang. The engine has 400 horsepower, 20 more than the old SVT Lighting, and 410 pound-feet of torque. It has a ten-speed automatic transmission with similar tuning and programming to other F-150 models. The Lobo comes standard with four-wheel drive; there is no rear-wheel drive option. Ford didn't discuss fuel economy but I would estimate about 16 to 24 MPG with regular grade gas. Ford also didn't talk about performance numbers, but with the 5-liter V8 with the upgraded exhaust this should be among the quicker accelerating F-150s, especially if you prefer the V8 rumble. The curb weight is about 5,000 pounds based on the STX, the Lobo’s base model.
Towing capacity is around 7,900 pounds and payload capacity is about 1,400 pounds because of suspension modifications. The front end has a more dynamic, aggressive look with an updated Ford grille with unique segments that create a light bar effect; it’s the only F-150 trim with this grille. All Lobos have reflector style full LED headlights with low beams, high beams, LED daytime running lights, and LED turn signals. The front splitter is more pronounced and is a gloss black design with a honeycomb grille with functional openings. You can have contrasting gloss black with a white exterior color and the model shown is Agat black. The hood is unique, more bulgy for a powerful presence. The side profile means that it is only available as a crew cab with the 5 1/2-foot bed. The truck has a wheelbase of 145 inches and an overall length of 232 inches, which is expected for a half-ton super crew pickup truck.
The wheels are unique to the Lobo, and they're 22-inch six-spoke gloss black riding on 275x50R22 Bridgestone Alenza all-season tires. The front suspension is all independent, with a two-inch drop with the rear damper tuning. The drop in the suspension and tuning for the rear dampers allows for a more aggressive stance, and lowers towing and payload capacity.  The interior of the Lobo includes black seats with contrast yellow stitching, made from pretty high quality padding. The truck comes with manual seat adjustment, and it lacks the options of heated and ventilated seats, massaging seats and power seats, all of which require a move up to the higher trims of the F150. It has no running boards, making the car a slight challenge for shorter drivers to get into. The door has a very solid sounding thump. There are the latest body on frame architectures. There is fully digital 12.3” instrument cluster, as well as 12" Ford Sync 4 infotainment system, which is an older softerware version. You can get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto to access drivers assistance stuff, there is also a Towing option. But with mostly cheaper scratched plastics. The truck didn’t have a sunroof and only a manual rear view mirror which is standard with STX trim levels. The F-150 logo, which’s technically is blacked out on the tail gate. It can comes in with around 57,800 dollars with 5L V8, four-wheel drive and with great body kit and styling.
