Video Summary

Here’s a summary of the YouTube video car review.

The 2025 Chevy Blazer SS has 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque in "Wow" mode, from two electric motors and a 102-kilowatt-hour battery. Without “Wow” mode, it performs similarly to the Acura ZDX type S, horsepower-wise.

It shares a platform with the Honda Prologue, Acura ZDX, and Cadillac Lyriq.  The car handles nicely on the track, although designed for curvy roads and not race tracks, is fun at seven-tenths.

The ZDX Type S tested earlier was about 500 horsepower.  In testing, the traction control worked well, but cannot be turned off completely; the one-pedal driving mode is adjustable. The brakes worked excellently. No frunk is provided under the hood. Though electric, the car still needs brake fluid.

The red and black color combination is aggressive.  The SS models have a black roof. The tail lights are all-Tesla style, but are only adequate. The 22-inch wheels are good but not memorable.

The interior is nice, almost not like a Chevy, but after an elbow’s length it becomes more plasticky.  The air vents resemble those from Mercedes. Some wind noise is noticeable. The large screens are a common feature with EV’s today. The 360-degree camera and its reverse camera are missing an option for full 180-degree visibility.  There are two cup holders and ample storage within the armrest area.

Customer comments are that there's no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Google Maps must be used, which requires a Google account for use, forcing data subscriptions. This vehicle lists at $61,995 (USD) or $69,999 (CAD). Overall, while there are some good aspects, competing models offer enhanced and standard features, making this car fall a bit short.
