Range, Battery & Charging

This model features a 54 kWh usable battery pack, providing a Green Cars Compare calculated real-world range of about 215 miles—plenty for daily driving and weekend trips. When it’s time to juice up, the Frontera is ready for action. At a DC fast-charging station, it can pull up to 100 kW, taking the battery from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes using its US-spec CCS Type 1 port. For charging at home, the standard 11 kW on-board AC charger can deliver a full charge overnight.

Safety & Driver-Assistance Features

While official NHTSA safety ratings are not yet available for this new model, the Frontera is built on a modern platform and is expected to score well. It will come equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance systems. Standard features are anticipated to include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition. Buyers will likely be able to add optional advanced features like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and a 360-degree camera system for enhanced safety and convenience in tight spots.
