Overview
The Skoda Enyaq RS is the Czech brand's performance-focused electric SUV, a real head-turner that blends family practicality with a spicy kick. As the top-dog in the Enyaq line-up, this discontinued model (production ending 2025) offers potent dual-motor all-wheel drive, aggressive styling, and a cabin packed with sporty touches. It's a compelling package for those wanting an EV that’s both sensible and exciting. On the used market, expect prices around €51,790 for this thrilling family hauler, representing the peak of the Enyaq's initial generation.
What's New for 2025?
The 2025 Enyaq RS represents the final and most potent iteration of this specific performance trim, as production concludes this year. Its key update, carried over from the late-2023 revisions for the 2024 model year, is the significant power boost to a punchy 250 kW and 679 Nm of torque from its dual motors. This enhancement also brought tweaked motor management for improved efficiency and slightly quicker DC charging capabilities. Think of it as the Enyaq RS in its ultimate, fully-realised form before the curtain call.
Design & Exterior
The Enyaq RS isn't shy, shouting its sporty intentions with an aggressive body kit, gloss black accents, and unique RS badging. Up front, Skoda's illuminated 'Crystal Face' grille is often a standout feature, flanked by sharp Matrix LED headlights. It rolls on large, stylish alloy wheels, typically 20 or 21 inches, filling the arches nicely. Dimensionally, it measures 4649 mm in length, 1879 mm in width (sans mirrors), and stands 1616 mm tall, giving it a purposeful, hunkered-down stance for an SUV.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Inside, the Enyaq RS gets a proper sporty makeover with figure-hugging sports seats, often trimmed in Alcantara with contrast stitching and integrated headrests. You’ll find RS logos, a sporty steering wheel, and carbon-effect trim pieces enhancing the racy ambiance. Passenger space is generous for five. The dashboard is dominated by a large 13-inch central touchscreen infotainment system with crisp graphics, alongside a digital driver's display, both supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For luggage, there's a substantial 585-litre boot, expanding to 1710 litres with seats down, though no frunk is available.
Performance & Driving Experience
This thing properly shifts! The Enyaq RS, with its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup (IM front, PMSM rear), unleashes a combined 250 kW and a massive 679 Nm of torque. That’s enough to catapult it from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 5.5 seconds. The driving experience is engaging, with sharp responses and plenty of grip, especially with the optional adaptive chassis control. It feels planted and confident, yet can still be a comfortable cruiser. Braking is strong, with effective regenerative braking to recoup energy.
Range, Battery & Charging
The Enyaq RS packs a 77 kWh usable battery, delivering a Green Cars Compare estimated real-world range of around 465 km, which is pretty decent for a sporty EV. Energy consumption is rated at an efficient 6.04 km/kWh. For charging, its standard 11 kW on-board AC charger will top it up overnight in about 7-8 hours. When you’re out and about, it can suck up juice at a speedy 175 kW from a DC fast charger via its CCS Type 2 port, taking it from 10-80% in under 30 minutes.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Skoda doesn't skimp on safety, and the Enyaq family, including the RS, boasts a top 5-star Euro NCAP rating. You get a solid suite of standard driver aids, such as Front Assist with emergency braking, Lane Assist, and traffic sign recognition. For even more relaxed cruising, the optional Travel Assist package bundles adaptive cruise control with lane centering, turning motorway slogs into a breeze. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also typically available to keep you covered.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
In Europe, Skoda typically offers a standard vehicle warranty of 2 years with unlimited kilometres, often extendable. Crucially for an EV, the high-voltage battery is covered for 8 years or 160,000 km, guaranteeing at least 70% of its original capacity. The electric powertrain components usually fall under the main vehicle warranty. Skoda service intervals are generally every two years, irrespective of mileage, and reliability of the MEB platform underpinning the Enyaq has proven to be solid, promising peace of mind for RS owners.
