Video Summary
The Porsche Taycan RWD 2025 is a large GT car. The body is low to the ground, and it measures 4.96 meters in total length, with a wheelbase of 2.9 meters. The car weighs 2.2 tons. - The name “Taycan” is derived from old Turkish words, where “Tai” means colt or young horse, and “jan” means life or soul. Porsche wishes us to pronounce it, Tie-Kahn. - It has a single motor RWD with a bigger battery (performance plus). The motor at the rear delivers 435 hp or 320 kW. - Torque is 420 Nm, which is 75 Nm more than the previous version. - It does 0-100 in 4.8 seconds. 0-100 in 4.8 seconds, compared to the 5.4 of the older version. - The top speed is 230 km/h. - This review unit is equipped with 21-inch “Spider” Rims, Goodyear Eagle F1 Sport tires with 305s in the back, and 265s at the front in a staggered setup. - The standard rims are horrible looking. - A big update is the battery pack, so the Performance Plus package now brings a bigger battery, with a gross capacity of 105 kWh. - The net capacity is 97 kWh. The WLTP Range is now 655 km with Spider Rims. With standard rims, it is 678 km. - The charging port is 22 kW on the left, and DC charging with 320 kW instead of 270 on an 800-volt system on the right. Has a DC-to-DC converter, which means it can also take 150 kW from 400 volt systems. Charging from 10 to 80 percent on an 800-volt system takes 18 minutes. - The frontal design has updated matrix LED lights with more pixels, a tear-shaped air intake, and the iconic four-dotted DRLs. The Porsche text on the taillight is 3D and lights up on certain trim levels. - The car has front and rear boots: the front boot has 82 liters of storage, while the rear boot offers 407 liters, with folding seats that split 40-20-40. - The back seats are cramped. Headroom is very limited, even with the panoramic roof. There’s a driveshaft tunnel at the rear that hosts some of the battery cells. The car has sports seats in leather with high-end materials used in the door cards. - The interior at the front is sporty but not overcrowded, and still high-tech at the same time. There’s an 8.4-inch vertical console control panel at the front and a 10.9-inch main screen, with a huge 16.8-inch instrument cluster. - The car can be upgraded with an entertainment screen for the passenger. - The Porsche electric sports sound is great; it’s almost as good as a combustion engine. Air suspension is now standard, the difference between normal and low is a 22 mm drop and it has active damper control. This 2025 Taycan is a fun and sporty ride. - This car costs 1.45 million Swedish krona, or 120,000 euros. - The two letdowns are the price and the rear seats, which are cramped for adults. - On sports mode, the car is “razor-sharp” to drive. Rear-wheel drive enhances the driving experience, but there is over- and understeer that reminds that this EV weighs 2.2 tons. - If not the best, this is among the most fun and engaging EVs on the market.
