OPEL CORSA ELECTRIC, DEGELIJK, MAAR NIET VOORDELIG

Video Summary

The car drives more than okay and has a solid feel due to its weight. The exterior is attractive, and the interior is generally comfortable. However, the ten-inch display, while improved, is not brilliant. A key upgrade is that each electric Corsa comes standard with a heat pump. It makes it possible to increase action radius from 350 km to 400 by efficiently maintaining battery temperature. The newest, and best, 51kWh battery makes use of compact and efficient technology.  Also added is a new 156 hp electric motor. Over-the-air updates are included.  The car is heavier than a comparable combustion engine Corsa, contributing to a more planted feel. While decent, it is not sharply priced.  A 75 horsepower 1.2 version is priced at €24,000; the electric version reviewed costs €36,000, but Opel needs to offer more budget friendly electrics to achieve long-term success. Cheaper electric alternatives exist, such as the MG4 or BYD Dolphin. It needs to be seen as reliably German and affordable.
