Video Summary

The video reviews the Mustang Mach-E and the Tesla Model Y. A key finding is that the Model Y has slightly more cargo space with the back seats folded, at 76 cubic feet compared to the Mach-E's 59. The 2025 version of the Mach-E has a column-mounted gear shifter and a standard heat pump. Both seat five, and the cars are comparable in interior space.

Both vehicles have front trunks about the same size.  The new Model Y gets red LED tail lights projecting on the logo.  The Tesla Model Y has standard NACS charging.  For range, the Model Y tested had 327 miles as opposed to the Mach-E. The Model Y gets an updated suspension and an updated look up front. The steering wheel offers options for light, standard and heavy handling weight.

A basic rear wheel drive, standard range, 2025 Mustang Mach-E begins at $39,990 including destination. The Mustang Mach-E GT starts at $56,490 with standard all-wheel drive. A 2026 Model Y is $46,630 for the long range, rear-wheel drive model and $50,630 for the long range, all-wheel drive Model.

For handling, the Mach-E is considered to be less unruly compared to the Model Y. The Model Y has better range than the Mach-E but it lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Mustang has a more muscular sculpted hood and head/tail lights. It has a volume knob with tactile feel and easy-to-operate HVAC controls, which the Tesla lacks. The Model Y does know what “chill mode" feels like and numbs the driver. The Mustang is also sporty in looks. The 2026 Model Y's new design feels very minimalist, a nice clean look. However, if you are buying a new car, consider safety first!
