NEW Skoda Enyaq review – still a GREAT electric SUV? | What Car?

Video Summary

The Skoda Enyaq has new updates. These updates include a new look, tweaks inside, and a longer range. The Eniyaq had tweaks to its lineup last year.

The Enyaq now has Skoda's 'Tech Deck' face, a black glossy plastic panel housing sensors and a split LED headlight design. These front-end changes have made the car more aerodynamic.

The new alloy wheel design ranges from 19 to 21 inches, and olive green is the new available paint color.

The Enyaq 85 has an official range of 359 miles, and the 85 coupe model goes up to 365 miles of official range.

The 60 model comes with a slightly bigger battery for a usable capacity of 59kWh, allowing a charging rate of up to 165kW for a 10-80% charge in 24 minutes. Standard equipment has been boosted for this facelifted model, and prices now start at just under £40,000.

Inside, the user can customize shortcut icons on the touchscreen infotainment system.

The interior maintains a sleek layout and sturdy materials; and the driver can get leather upon the dashboard with entry-level loft versions.

The infotainment system is unchanged but remains impressive with responsive touch time. There are still touch screen controls for the air conditioning and fan speed, and it is still a shame that they are touchscreen controls.

The vehicle has lots of storage in the center console, with cupholders, large door bins, and a storage area with removable trays below the central armrest. The driving position is comfortable with a good high-up feel, adjustable wheel and seat, and new standard heated seats and steering wheel.

The biggest issue is that the Skoda Elroq offers many of the same brilliant qualities as this car, but at a much lower price.

While the Skoda Elroq has its advantages, the Enyaq has a bigger boot and better rear seat space, specifically in the SUV version. A transport package is offered for a height adjustable boot floor and rear seat release levers.

On the road, the driving is almost the same for both vehicles with similar ranges, speeds, and performance.

This is still among one of the most comfortable electric SUVs on the market, with a smooth, quiet ride and great steering.

The braking pedal has a lot of travel before it activates the brakes.
