Overview
The Genesis GV60 Performance AWD is a stylish and shockingly potent luxury electric crossover that blends head-turning design with a high-tech cabin and blistering speed. Built on the advanced E-GMP platform, it’s a posh and playful alternative to rivals like the Tesla Model Y. As the final model year for this generation, the 2025 version represents a refined package. With its standout features like the 800-volt architecture for rapid charging and a driver-focused experience, it’s an impressive machine, with the used market showing estimated prices around $28,894 for this discontinued model.
What's New for 2025?
For its final model year, the 2025 Genesis GV60 sees minor but meaningful refinements rather than a major overhaul. This polished send-off builds on the successful formula of previous years. The most notable update is the inclusion of a Wi-Fi hotspot as standard equipment across the lineup, enhancing in-car connectivity for all passengers. Otherwise, the GV60 Performance AWD carries over its fantastic feature set, solidifying its position as a well-equipped, high-performance luxury EV for those quick enough to grab this distinctive final edition.
Design & Exterior
The GV60’s design is a rolling sculpture, looking like nothing else on the road. It boasts a smooth, futuristic aesthetic with a signature clamshell hood that eliminates panel gaps for a clean look. The iconic split "Quad Lamp" headlights and taillights give it an unmistakable Genesis identity, day or night. The Performance AWD trim amps up the attitude with aggressive front fascia details, unique 21-inch alloy wheels, and a fixed rear wing. Measuring 177.8 inches long, 74.4 inches wide, and 62.2 inches tall, it has a muscular, coupe-like stance.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Inside, the GV60 Performance AWD is a tech-lover's paradise with a serious dose of luxury. The cabin is dominated by the show-stopping Crystal Sphere, a rotating orb that becomes the gear selector when the car is on. A floating center console and dual 12.3-inch screens for instruments and infotainment create a futuristic cockpit, complete with standard wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Passenger space is excellent, but cargo room is a bit tight at 15.3 cubic feet, expanding to a more practical 51.6 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
Performance & Driving Experience
This is where the Performance trim earns its name. With a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 360 kW and a massive 516 lb-ft of torque, it’s seriously quick. The real party trick is the lime-green "Boost" button on the steering wheel, which unleashes the full 483 horsepower for 10-second bursts, catapulting the GV60 from 0-60 mph in a blistering 3.8 seconds. It’s an absolute rocket ship off the line with a top speed of 146 mph. The handling is surprisingly agile, and i-Pedal mode allows for seamless one-pedal driving.
Range, Battery & Charging
The GV60 Performance AWD is powered by a 74 kWh usable battery pack. Green Cars Compare calculates a real-world range of about 234 miles, with an impressive efficiency of 3.16 mi/kWh. Its ace-in-the-hole is the 800-volt architecture, enabling a maximum DC fast-charging speed of 233 kW at a compatible CCS Type 1 station. This allows it to juice up from 10-80% in an incredible 18 minutes. For home charging, the 10.9 kW on-board charger does the job. Plus, its standard Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature can power your gadgets on the go.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Genesis doesn't skimp on safety, and the GV60's IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award proves it. The Performance trim comes fully loaded with a comprehensive suite of driver aids. The star is Highway Driving Assist 2, an advanced system that combines adaptive cruise control with lane centering and automated lane-change capabilities. Standard features also include a crystal-clear surround-view monitor, forward collision avoidance, and the brilliant Blind-Spot View Monitor, which projects a camera feed into the gauge cluster when you signal a turn.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
The ownership experience is backed by one of the best warranties in the auto industry. Genesis provides a 5-year/60,000-mile basic new vehicle warranty and a phenomenal 10-year/100,000-mile warranty covering the powertrain and EV battery. As if that wasn't enough, owners also receive 3 years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. This package includes Genesis Service Valet, where the dealer will pick up your car for service and provide a loaner vehicle, offering unmatched convenience and peace of mind.
