Overview
The 2025 Genesis GV60 Advanced AWD is a head-turning electric crossover that blends striking design with cutting-edge tech. As the more accessible all-wheel-drive model in the lineup, it offers a compelling package of performance, luxury, and futuristic features like the mesmerizing Crystal Sphere shifter. It’s a premium alternative to rivals like the Tesla Model Y, designed for those who value style and a refined driving experience. With this being the final model year for this generation and used prices around $29,900, it's a uniquely attractive proposition in the premium EV space.
What's New for 2025?
For its final model year, Genesis has streamlined the GV60 lineup, discontinuing the rear-wheel-drive model and making the fantastic dual-motor all-wheel-drive system standard on all trims. For the Advanced model, this simplifies the buying process, making the sure-footed AWD setup the new entry point. While there are no other major feature changes, the biggest news is that 2025 marks the end of the production run for this distinctive EV. It's your last chance to grab this generation of the GV60 new before it drives off into the sunset.
Design & Exterior
The GV60’s design is pure drama. Its smooth, pebble-like shape is dominated by a clean clamshell hood that eliminates panel gaps for a sleek look. Genesis’s signature "Two-Line" quad headlamps give it an unmistakable face, while the swoopy, coupe-like roofline ends in a fixed rear wing. A distinctive chrome V-shape on the C-pillar adds a jolt of visual flair. Measuring 177.8 inches long, 74.4 inches wide, and 62.2 inches high, its compact, muscular proportions give it a planted, athletic stance that really stands out in a crowded market.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Inside, the GV60 Advanced wows with a futuristic and upscale cabin. The star of the show is the "Crystal Sphere," a rotating orb that flips to become the gear selector when you power on the car. A massive floating panel houses twin 12.3-inch screens for the driver's display and infotainment, complete with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Passenger space is generous, but cargo is a bit compromised by the style, with 15.3 cubic feet in the trunk. Fold the seats down, and that expands to a much more useful 51.6 cubic feet.
Performance & Driving Experience
This thing is properly quick! The Advanced trim's dual-motor setup delivers 314 horsepower and a hefty 446 lb-ft of instant torque to all four wheels, launching you from 0-60 mph in just 5.3 seconds. The dual Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors provide silky-smooth, silent acceleration. Built on the brilliant E-GMP platform, the GV60 offers a fantastic balance of a plush, comfortable ride with surprisingly agile handling. It feels refined and composed, whether you're cruising on the highway or darting through city traffic, making it an absolute joy to drive.
Range, Battery & Charging
The GV60 Advanced packs a 74 kWh usable battery, delivering a Green Cars Compare estimated real-world range of 242 miles and an efficiency of 3.27 mi/kWh. Its 800-volt architecture is the key trick, enabling a blistering max DC fast-charging speed of 233 kW via its CCS Type 1 port. That means you can juice up from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes. For home charging, the standard 10.9 kW on-board charger is plenty quick. Plus, standard Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality lets you power appliances right from the car.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Genesis loads the GV60 with an incredible suite of safety tech as standard, earning it an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award. Every model gets the brilliant Highway Driving Assist 2 system, which combines smart adaptive cruise control with active lane-centering for stress-free highway trips. You also get a comprehensive package including a Blind-Spot View Monitor that shows a camera feed in your instrument cluster, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance. It’s one of the most complete standard safety packages on the market.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
Genesis offers one of the best ownership packages in the business, giving you serious peace of mind. The GV60 is covered by a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a class-leading 10-year/100,000-mile warranty for the powertrain and high-voltage battery. Better yet, Genesis includes 3 years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. This even comes with their incredible Service Valet program, where they pick up your car for service and leave you a loaner. It’s a truly premium experience that competitors struggle to match.
